Four months since our last update, and progress at the site of Pinnacle International's Cascade at the Pier in North Vancouver has now reached structural completion. Once the site of the Wallace Shipyards, the former docklands have been re-imagined as a vibrant new urban neighbourhood.

Located at 172 Victory Ship Way in North Vancouver, the well-situated development places residents within easy walking distance of busy Lonsdale Ave and Esplanade East, in addition to Lonsdale Quay Station with direct access to Waterfront Station in Downtown Vancouver.

Cascade at the Pier contains 201 units, spread across two twin 10-storey structures facing directly onto Vancouver Harbour. While the old boat launch ramps have been replaced by modern landscaping and green space, the development's historic connection to the water cannot be ignored.

Designed by IBI Group, Cascade at the Pier features a host of subtle, nautically-themed design cues, including the red "sails" that grace the top of each block. A welcome addition to North Vancouver, Cascade at the Pier will be a sure bet among buyers looking for the city's trademark mix of urban living and waterfront views.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
