Rising fast in central Richmond, the 15-storey Alfa residential high-rise by Andrew Cheung Architects Inc will soon become home to upwards of 150 new residents. Located at 8151 Anderson Road, near the intersection of Granville Ave and No 3 Rd, within close proximity to the CF Richmond Centre and Richmond-Brighouse SkyTrain station, Alfa will be a popular address for those looking for a mix of convenience and an easy commute.

The 15-storey tower will house 109 units, ranging in size from 705-1,572 square feet, across a mix of 1-3.5 bedroom configurations. Prices start in the high $200,000s, thereby positioning the development as a good starter property for young urban professionals.

While it is still early days in terms of construction, with pilings beginning to crop op across the build site, it will not be long before the first few floors begin to take shape. Viewed in the rendering below, Alfa will be configured as two distinctive volumes, arranged as a plus sign, which will meet the street with a single floor of ground level retail.

Once complete, Alfa will be a fine addition to central Richmond, the neighbourhoods surrounding the CF Richmond Centre quickly rising to become a high-density pocket located due south of Vancouver.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
