Currently nearing completion in Coquitlam's rapidly intensifying Loughheed Town Cenre neighbourhood, Square Nine Developments's Chris Dikeakos Architects-designed Union is fast approaching its move-in date. Standing at 19 storeys, the 109-unit, tower and townhouse development will soon welcome its first generation of residents, the project to bring up to 200 newcomers to the area.
Set atop a grassy knoll, the distinctive topography of the project has become enshrined in its design, the inclusion of a setback rooftop amenity deck described by the developer as a nod to the landscape upon which the development sits.
Set to include a fitness centre, sky lounge, and fully equipped outdoor courtyard, Union has been designed for residents to conveniently take advantage of Vancouver's mild year round climate.
Mixing traditional condo units with a small handful of townhouse units, Union is very much on-trend for the Vancouver suburbs, the development having been built to appeal to a full range of buyers. Walking distance to the Lougheed Town Centre shopping mall and SkyTrain station of the same name, the project will be popular with those looking for a balance between urban and suburban living.
SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
