Six months since our last full update, and progress at the site of the three-tower Burrard Place development in downtown Vancouver has been moving along steadily, the project now standing three storeys above grade. Comprised of a 13-storey office tower and two residential high-rises at 36 and 54 storeys apiece, the project will eventually represent the tallest residential tower in the city.

While the office build site remains for now below grade, the adjacent residential high-rise sites have long since broken above ground, standing more than three storeys high. Viewed above, from the front of the residential towers, the site can be appreciated for its scope from the corner of Drake and Burrard Streets.

Moving around to the side of the two residential high-rises, the base of what appears from the renderings to be the taller of the two has now grown significantly, the residential component to comprise a grand total of 810 units. Designed jointly by IBI Group and Revery Architecture for Reliance Properties and the Jim Pattison Group, the project will include 30,000 square feet of amenity space, to be placed within the tallest tower, which will consist of a fitness centre, lap pool, children's play room, and lounge.

Set for completion by 2020, the office and two residential towers will comprise more than one million square feet of development - the largest of its kind currently underway in downtown Vancouver.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
