The latest in a collection of recent high-rise developments to grace the Kingsway corridor in central Burnaby, Midori has all but reached completion. With cladding work essentially wrapped, it will not be long before the 37-storey, 244-unit tower breathes to live, bringing up to 400 new residents to Metrotown.

Located at 6579 Marlborough Ave, just steps away from the Metropolis at Metrotown shopping centre, and thus as well to the Metrotown and Royal Oak SkyTrain stations, Midori will place residents within the heart of the rapidly changing Metrotown district of central Burnaby - with easy access to goods, services, and downtown Vancouver.

Joined by a crop of new condos, Midori will debut into an area already tamed by ground floor retail and restaurants, the landscaped laneways that connect one tower to the next to form the basis for a new urban-surburban cluster of high-density living.

Complete with public art, as seen above, Metrotown has become a highly sought-after corner of the city, Burnaby's rise in recent years appearing to be very much on pace with that experienced closer to the core.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
