Six weeks since our last update, and cleanup has begun at the site of the all-but-complete Milano tower in Burnaby, as crews move into the final stages of construction. Standing tall at 30 storeys, the 176-unit high-rise by Solterra Group of Companies will soon join a host of similar projects in the rapidly rising Brentwood neighbourhood.

Located just steps away from Brentwood Town Centre, Milano will bring a mix of unit types to the neighbourhood, including a handful of live/work units, townhomes, and traditional condo units of varying configurations and sizes. Capping off the tower, the top two floors will be home to a collection of 3,400 square-foot penthouse suites.

A full range of amenities will be on offer as well, including a fitness centre, steam room, bike repair station, car wash stations, and dog wash facility. These will be complemented by an impressive, three-storey lobby and lounge space, complete with water feature and public art.

Outside, residents will be able to make use of a 20,000 square-foot terrace, with fire pits and open-ar kitchen, in addition to a playground, herb garden, and outdoor theatre. Viewed above, the nearly complete Milano will soon become a fine addition to the ever-changing Burnaby skyline.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
