Recently completed, The Royal at Victoria Hill by ONNI Group has become the latest addition to New Westminster. Designed by Yamamoto Architecture Inc., the two-building, 4-storey, 63-unit, townhouse and condo development at the corner of East Royal Avenue and Ross Drive in Queens Park, will add up to 120 new residents to the area.
Billed as "the final chapter in a visionary story," The Royal at Victoria Hill caps off a multi-phase residential development which has been in the works for several years. Built atop the grounds of the former Woodlands School for unwanted and disabled people, which closed in 1996, the conversion to a townhouse development is more than likely a net positive given the less-than-savoury history of the site.
Every unit has been equipped with balconies, the upper floors with terraces, thereby giving every resident access to ample outdoor space. Additional amenity spaces include a 1,300 square-foot fitness centre, and a 3,000 square-foot rooftop patio.
With only a few landscaping touches left to go, the project has officially wrapped, The Royal at Victoria Hill today a welcome addition to Queens Park.
