Almost a year since our last update, and progress at the site of Onni Group's 28-storey Brookmere residential development in Burquitlam has been moving along nicely, the topped-off tower now almost completely clad. Located at 535 North Road in suburban Sullivan Heights, Brookmere will place residents within easy walking distance of a shopping centre, big box stores, and the Lougheed Town Centre SkyTrain Station for a quick connection to downtown.

Designed by Chris Dikeakos Architects, Brookmere will place 218 residential units above 11,560 square feet of ground-floor retail space, which will be joined by 7,000 square feet of amenity space.

Visible above, Brookmere will also provide a small number of townhouse units for those looking for extra space and a more traditional domestic layout.

Close to the SkyTrain, residents will be able to keep tabs on their daily commute thanks to the project's prime view of the elevated tracks. Part of Burquitlam's ongoing intensification, Brookmere is but the latest in a series of high-rise developments to call the boundary between Burnaby and Coquitlam home.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
