Tell-tale signs of completion have begun to appear at the site of Chard Development's Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership-designed Ellsworth in Mount Pleasant, as residents have begun to take possession of the 10-storey mid-rise tower's 89 residential units. Arranged as a series of slightly off-kilter blocks, vaguely reminiscent of a slightly deconstructed Rubik's Cube, the massing of the structure has injected the local streetscape with a punch of quirkiness, the structure now one of the most visually striking condos in the area.

Sat atop a 7,000 square-foot retail space, the bulk of the mixed-use development has been finished in a geometric collage of brown and white spandrel punctuated by window glazing. With summer just around the corner, newly-arrived residents will be sure to take advantage of the 3,500 square-foot rooftop terrace, whose glass retaining wall can be clearly made out in the images above and below.

While it may be some time yet before residents and retail tenants finish moving in, the Ellsworth has already made a name for itself along the local streetscape.
