Two months since our last update, and progress at the site of PortLiving's Studio B Architects-designed Midtown Modern has given rise to a discernible street presence for the rapidly-rising four-storey residential project in Mount Pleasant.

Located at 630 East Broadway in Mount Pleasant, Midtown Modern has taken the place of a pair of nondescript low-rise commercial structures typical of the local streetscape.

Consisting of 50 residential units spread across three upper floors poised above a ground-floor retail space, the midrise project will fit nicely into its immediate urban context, adding a punch of urban vibrancy to the neighbourhood.

Set to feature a small collection of set-back penthouse suites on the top floor, each equipped with a private rooftop terrace, Midtown Modern will provide some form of outdoor space to every resident, the middle floors to be constructed with ample-sized balconies facing onto the street.

Around to the rear, additional rooftop terraces will be included above the underground parkade, thereby increasing the amount of prime outdoor space available to prospective buyers.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
