More than six months since our previous construction update, Burnaby's Escala is within reach of its 42-storey full height. In September, about a dozen concrete floors had been formed at 1710 Gilmore Avenue, and glazing application was in its early stages. Crews have not wasted any time in the months that followed, executing most of the volume's skeleton and continuing to clad the building in blue window wall.

All residents are automatically enrolled as "elite members" of the 15,000-square-foot amenities program known as The Escala Club. Offerings here include an indoor pool and steam rooms, a private fitness room and yoga studio, a fireside social lounge, catering kitchen, billiards and ping pong tables, a movie theatre, music room and two hotel-style guest suites.
