The former home of the Quality Inn Downtown has been erased from the Howe Street urban fabric in preparation for the rise of a 40-storey residential tower by Onni Group. The IBI Group-designed tower at 1335 Howe Street will replace the defunct seven-storey structure, which had temporarily been occupied by non-market units.

A podium will replicate the massing of the preexisting structure and contain market rental units, with the tower supplying 120 condominiums to the dense neighbourhood. With only four units per floor, each offering between 1,090 and 1,720 square feet of living space, the development preaches customizable homes that can be combined, resulting in residences ranging from 2,355 to 6,055 square feet.

Complementing the balcony-equipped units will be over 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, enveloping the eighth floor with a 1,600-square-foot fitness centre, meeting rooms, lounging areas, and an outdoor pool deck and roof terrace.
