The auxiliary pavilion structure at Dunsmuir and Homer Streets, part of the Oxford Properties-owned BMO Complex on West Georgia, is now undergoing demolition. The Modernist building is being erased from the streetscape ahead of construction of a nine-storey commercial building by B+H Architects, planted next to Holy Rosary Cathedral.

The parti envisions retail on the main floor surmounted by three modules of office space, with 6,600 square feet of amenity space on the second floor, including conference and fitness facilities. Architecturally, the building's thick mullions are meant to emulate classic warehouse design, and inside, workplaces will feature polished concrete floors, open concept spaces, and hanging LED fixtures.

Online retailing giant Amazon announced in November that they would occupy the building with 1,000 employees, making it their second corporate office in Vancouver. It would double the company's workforce in the city — Amazon already has a presence in the 2015-built TELUS Garden complex.
