Rize Alliance has submitted an application to the City seeking permission to implant a crystalline office tower on the corner of Station Street and Terminal Avenue. Occupied by The Party Bazaar and the former Cloverdale Paint shop, the SkyTrain-abutting site would give way to a 13-storey mixed-use building containing primarily office space, with some ground floor retail also planned.

According to elevation sketches submitted with the application, the 52-metre-tall building designed by Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership would be clad in double glazed vision glass and metal panels. Angular glass cutouts announce the entrance to the building, while horizontal window treatments characterize the fenestration of the upper floors.

Five levels of underground parking will provide a total of 442 parking spaces across the site at 1296 Station Street, which neighbours the historic Pacific Central Station. Members of the public can provide feedback on the proposed project until February 9.
