Vancouver's Olympic Village continues its amazing transformation with the start of construction on Pinnacle International's Pinnacle on the Park development at 2-26 East 1st Avenue. The design of the 18-storey building is by Bingham + Hill Architects, with interior design by False Creek Design.

The LEED Gold development will include a 53.3-metre tower inclusive of two-storey townhouses with direct outdoor access as part of a five-story podium. Pinnacle on the Park will have 137 residential strata units, with a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom options. Amenities include a podium rooftop garden overlooking Olympic Village and False Creek, urban agriculture plots, an outdoor kitchen with a large communal table, a ground-level courtyard, multiple social lounges, a gym, and a secure children's play area.

There will be 169 underground parking spaces and a dedicated bike storage area. The public realm design will include a wider-than-required setback along 1st Avenue, granite boulevards, and street trees. The Community Amenity Contribution will include public art, as well as $5,218,053 for childcare serving the area, and a $1,000,000 contribution for affordable housing.

Future residents will enjoy access to the many restaurants and shops located in the Olympic Village and Mount Pleasant. They will also have the seawall, Hinge Park, the Creekside Community Centre, Science World, and two Skytrain stations within a short walk.
