Nearly five months after introducing the two-tower Gold House development to SkyriseVancouver, we return with another photo update that shows how construction crews have progressed through the city's blistering hot summer. Developed by Rize Alliance with architecture by Chris Dikeakos Architects, the pair of residential towers will be among the tallest in Metrotown, introducing 490 units across 41- and 26-storey volumes.

The first phase consists of the taller tower, which will include 302 residential units and 20 commercial office spaces. The second phase imparts a further 182 condominiums plus six townhomes across the two-acre site. Interiors have been crafted by Hirsch Bedner Associates, who have executed floor plans that boast nine-foot-high ceilings, expansive windows, and generously sized terraces. A kitchen appliance package supplied by Bosch complements custom Italian Armony Cucine soft-close cabinets and the quartz or graphite colour schemes that discerning residents will be choosing from.

The penthouses up the ante by employing first-class finishes and pushing the ceiling heights beyond 12 feet. Oversized patios up to 1,230 square feet in size serve as outdoor extensions to homes measuring nearly 1,500 square feet.

The north and south towers will also contain their own helping of amenities. The north tower — the taller of the two — is slated to host over 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a 4,000-square-foot outdoor terrace, fully appointed fitness centre, and an expansive social room. The south tower dedicates 11,000 square feet towards amenities, a package that includes a gym, yoga studio, music practice room, and two social rooms.

The first few floors of the 41-storey tower are assuming form now, while work on the second phase remains focused on the underground levels.
