I really like how easily readable Vancouver's development application signage is. The website too.

So MCM Partnership is applying on behalf of the developer I guess?

I think most people would like the new building but I lament the loss of the little bay windowed buildings. They are as about as old as anything gets in Vancouver and are rare. Probably not feasible to save them as they are likely falling apart on the inside.

The loss of these smaller buildings is indeed a loss. They would look really good if restored. How goes heritage preservation in Vancouver?
