Onni Group is gearing up to intensify the mid-block building that was formerly occupied by the Quality Inn Downtown on Howe Street. The seven-storey structure, currently being used for temporary non-market housing, will soon host 109 market rental units, with a 120-unit condominium tower planted on top.

1335 Howe Street, designed by IBI Group, will feature 40 storeys of two- to three-bedroom residences ranging from 1,090 to 1,720 square feet. With only four homes per floor, each unit will possess corner views and expansive private terraces extending from the building envelope.

The eighth floor of the complex — the first level of the condominium tower — will be home to over 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. A 1,600-square-foot fitness centre, meeting rooms, a lounge, and party room fill out the interior common spaces, while an outdoor pool, barbecue area and children's play area characterize the outdoor conveniences.

The number of condominiums were reduced from an earlier plan that called for 264 market residential units. A 37-space childcare facility initially proposed has also been axed and replaced by the eighth floor amenity space.
