The Creek is a four-phase condo and townhouse development located in Vancouver’s False Creek community. Located at 95 East 1st Avenue on one of the last waterfront sites to be developed in the city, the 624,522-square-foot community — developed by Concert Properties and designed by Rafii Architects in partnership with Richard Henry Architect Inc. — will include five residential towers that will contribute approximately 740 units to Vancouver’s waterfront. In addition to The Creek's diverse offering of condo units, the community is unique within the area for offering 18 townhouses, ranging in size from 1,065 to 2,138 square feet, with two- to three-bedroom + den layouts.

Providing a wide range of at-market housing, the community’s first phase, Voda — a 16-storey, 130-unit LEED Gold Certified condo tower that began construction in 2015 — will devote 104,927 square feet of the development’s gross square footage to affordable non-market housing that is owned and operated by the City of Vancouver. With Voda's opening projected for 2018, construction of The Creek’s second phase — Navío by the Creek — has already begun, with construction of all three towers now well underway.

Navío will offer two boutique towers — Navío North and South — that will rise to 12 and 14 storeys respectively. Specifically designed for families, Navío North and South will provide an array of units sizes and layouts, ranging from 562 square feet for one-bedroom units to 2,035 square feet for its three-bedroom penthouse suites. Of the building’s approximately 177 units, 110 (60%) will be two- or three-bedroom units plus den, while the remaining 67 units (40%) will be comprised of one bedroom + den.

In close proximity to all three of the city’s skytrains and Vancouver’s downtown core, as well as Granville Island and Vancouver’s Seawall, Navío at the Creek offers easy access to downtown living while providing residents with ocean views on its expansive, three-acre waterfront park. An internal street network will include separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists, connecting the community's towers as well as providing connection to the Seawall, Quebec and Ontario Streets and East 1st Avenue.

When the project opens in 2019, residents will be served by a wide range of on-site amenities including fitness rooms, ample bicycle parking, entertainment centres, rooftop lounges and childcare centres.

As you can see in the photo above, development for Navío’s two anticipated LEED Gold towers is progressing rapidly in anticipation of the second phase’s opening. With both towers topped off, the installation of their floor-to-ceiling windows is underway.
