The 35-storey Aldynne on the Park bordering Burnaby's Central Park has assumed its final form, with photos by Forum contributor City Of Rain showing the building topped out and almost fully wrapped in glazing. Developed by Polygon Homes and boasting a design by Nigel Baldwin and dys architecture, the building's floor-to-ceiling windows offer residents expansive views of their surroundings.

After completion in 2017, residents will have a choice between three designer-selected colour schemes: dark pearl, light oak, and white pearl. Wood-style laminate flooring in the living spaces, carpeting in the bedrooms, stainless steel appliances, and engineered stone countertops with full-height marble tile backsplashes come standard throughout the building's 242 units. Resident-only amenities include a fully equipped fitness studio, two electric car plug-in stations, three car wash stations, and a multi-purpose lounge and entertainment room.

That's in addition to the plethora of amenities that the neighbourhood offers. The 222-acre Central Park is a cherished local landmark, where visitors can walk and cycle on a network of trails, smell the flowers at the perennial gardens, and have a picnic on one of the multiple swaths of green space. The park also comes with a swimming pool, tennis courts and a pitch-and-putt. With Metropolis at Metrotown within walking distance, and close access to Patterson SkyTrain Station, residents should have no trouble making their way around the city without a car.
